Erev Rosh Chodesh Sivan is a special time to pray for our children and grandchildren. According to the well-accepted tradition documented 400 years ago by the Shlah HaKodesh (Rabbi Yeshayahu Horwitz), this day is the best day to pray for our children because it is the beginning of the month where we received the Torah and became Hashem’s children.
Here’s the full text of the Tefillas HaShlah, written especially for this day. This prayer asks Hashem that our children and grandchildren be blessed to follow the path of Torah, Mitzvos, and good middos, and to become parents and grandparents themselves in good time:
